Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Rule34DB (“we”, “us”, “our”) covering your access to and use of rule34db.com and every page, feature and service offered on it (the “Site”). By visiting or using the Site you accept these Terms in full. If you do not accept them, do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility — adults only

The Site publishes sexually explicit artwork intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old — or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher — to access it. By using the Site you confirm that you meet that requirement, that viewing adult material is legal where you are, and that you will not permit any minor to see it. Access by minors is strictly prohibited.

You also confirm that you are accessing the material for your own private use and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. What the Site is

Rule34DB is a curated catalogue of adult artwork that is indexed from publicly available sources. We do not claim authorship or ownership of the works shown. Titles, descriptions and tags are editorial metadata generated by us or contributed by the community, and may be incomplete or inaccurate.

Registration and user uploads are features that may be switched on or off at our discretion. Where uploads are open, section 6 applies.

3. Prohibited content and conduct

We have zero tolerance for content that sexualises minors or facilitates abuse. The following is never permitted on the Site, and we remove it and cooperate with law enforcement whenever we find it:

• Any depiction of a minor in a sexual context — real or drawn, including nudity, explicit or implied sexual activity, or sexualised posing. Reports of this kind are treated as urgent and the material is blocked immediately.
• Non-consensual, coerced or “revenge” content, or content that depicts real people in sexual situations without their consent.
• Incest, bestiality, or any material that is unlawful in the jurisdiction from which we operate.
• Content promoting or facilitating prostitution, human trafficking or sex trafficking.
• Anything that violates a law, or that encourages or instructs others to do so.

You also agree not to:

• harass, threaten, defame, or invade the privacy of any person;
• post spam, advertising, chain letters, pyramid schemes, gambling promotions or other unauthorised solicitations;
• impersonate anyone or misrepresent an affiliation;
• probe, scan, overload or attempt to disrupt the Site, or run denial-of-service attacks;
• circumvent age verification, rate limits, security controls or access restrictions;
• scrape or harvest content or personal data at a volume that degrades service for others, or bypass robots.txt;
• use the Site or its content for a commercial purpose without our written permission;
• remove, obscure or alter our branding, notices or advertising.

4. Intellectual property and takedown

The artwork on the Site belongs to its creators and rights holders. We grant you no licence to reproduce, redistribute, sell or otherwise exploit it beyond viewing it through the Site.

If you believe material on the Site infringes your rights, follow the process on our DMCA page. We remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid notice and we terminate the access of repeat infringers.

5. Accounts

Where registration is open, you are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, and for activity that happens under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

6. Content you submit

If you submit content, you confirm that you own it or are otherwise authorised to publish it, that it does not infringe anyone's rights, and that every person depicted is an adult who consented. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, resize and distribute that content on and through the Site, and you remain responsible for it.

We may refuse, edit, or remove any submission at our discretion, including material that is off topic for the Site.

7. Third-party links and advertising

The Site links to third-party sites and may display advertising. We do not control those sites or their content and accept no responsibility for them; following such a link is at your own risk. Advertising is what funds the Site — if you use an ad blocker we ask you to disable it here.

8. Availability and changes to the Site

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend, restrict or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice, and we are not liable if it is unavailable for any period. We may amend these Terms; the revised version takes effect when published on this page, and continued use after that date means you accept it.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that content is accurate, lawful in your jurisdiction, or free of errors, malware or interruptions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages, nor for any loss of data, revenue, goodwill or profits, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Site. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or the minimum permitted by applicable law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us, our operators, employees and agents harmless against any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or content you submit.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Site at any time and, where accounts exist, delete yours from your profile settings — deletion is permanent. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms or if we are required to by law. On termination you must stop using the Site.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer protection you enjoy in your country of residence. Before starting formal proceedings, you agree to contact us through the contact page so we can try to resolve the matter.
